István Harasztÿ is a celebrated Hungarian sculptor. His own exhibitions are always notable events in Hungarian art life, but KOGART now upped the ante when it offers the chance to meet not only the artist, but also the art collector and the man.
Beside 130 of the artist’s own sculptures, mobiles and paintings, the display presents Édeske’s own collection of some 300 artworks. Selected in a joint effort of the artist and the Foundation, the material provides a peculiar cross-section of the past four decades in contemporary Hungarian art.
