Tibor Csernus Collection

Tibor Csernus (1927–2007) was the most important Hungarian painter of the second half of the 20th century, who lived and worked in Paris for over forty years. As a consequence, his art is a chapter in the history of both French and Hungarian painting. The foundation purchased the painter’s complete artistic estate, some 900 items (paintings, graphic works and book illustrations).
